The Sama Yak

This very special blanket or throw is 100% pure Mongolian yak. It is hand spun and handwoven in a 2ply medium weight. Due to the hand spinning the texture is very special. It is woven in a 3cm herringbone which gives added structure and individuality to the piece. Finished with a 3cm natural fringe. Available in natural grey or over dyed. A forever piece at 120x200cm.

At our atelier in the Himalayas, we use the traditional pedal looms with no power and have been operating on a ‘slow’ paradigm since our inception in 2009. We recycle all our water, we use eco friendly dyes and natural soap. We do everything from beginning to end by hand. We value the individuals and workmanship that makes each piece unique. Precious objects, to treasure. Quality not quantity, less is more.
